Bausch & Lomb Hansatome™ H.P. (High Precision) Microkeratome
The microkeratome is the instrument that creates the corneal flap during a LASIK surgery.
The microkeratome we utilize during your procedure allows us to create larger, thinner flaps. This saves corneal tissue, and creates less swelling. Also, smoother flaps allow for quicker visual rehabilitation. The microkeratome utilized has been a significant step forward in preventing corneal abrasions (scratches on the surface of the flap).
